Today 23rd January 2017 is the first moment I have wanted to stop what I am doing (writing a new book) and share something with you all in a short blog.

I received these words (which I will now quote) from someone who I don’t know personally but with whom I have a close energetic connection.

LET BE

‘MANY OF US SPEND MOST OF OUR LIVES TRYING TO LIVE SOMEONE ELSE’S LIFE. WE ARE GREAT FIXERS, AND AS WE WATCH OTHERS WE CAN HEAR OURSELVES ATTEMPTING TO ‘SORT THEM OUT’. WE HEAR IT IN OUR CONVERSATIONS WITH OTHERS AND WITHIN OURSELVES. IT SOUNDS LIKE … THEY SHOULDN’T … WEREN’T THEY AWFUL … DID YOU HEAR ABOUT SO AND SO …. IN MY OPINION THEY SHOULD.

In these moments we waste time trying to write the script of others and forget to write our own. We have no right to write another’s script and any attempt to do so is futile, frustrating and doomed to failure

So Let Be and taste the freedom from the subtle tensions and anxieties about others by letting them write their own script. Don’t miss your life, by trying to live someone else’s.

Goodness me how these words resonated with me and it all happened over the course of the weekend when I actually allowed this to occur in my own personal life. I am so busy at the moment, writing nearly every waking hour, now at the stage of printing out the first half draft to check for any repeats, errors or typing mistakes which I know I always make just by the sheer speed of my typing. I allowed myself to be distracted by someone and why? I am not sure of the reason and not wanting to go into any details because it is over now and I am back on track.

My desk looks a complete chaos, I work that way, from the chaos comes the clarity and my ideas and often I write on post it notes if I suddenly think of something that may or may not be included into my manuscript.

Sitting on the top of a very large pile of wobbly papers are my Power Cards by Leonie Zieverink and I realize that because I have been so busy I have not chosen one for a while. This pack of cards, which all contain images painted by her (and I have talked about them in other blogs) are just incredible.

The card I choose is the Sun – see the photo I just have taken.

The words are in Dutch so I will translate them for you. I already did the entire set for Leonie and hope that these beautiful cards will soon be released in English as well.

CARD NUMBER 21 THE SUN

You have a period of time behind you that has not been easy. You have come through this period on your own strength. You have discovered what for power and possibilities you have within and this gives you a good feeling about yourself. Use your energy and your creative powers. This is the time when you will be able to achieve a lot.

So all in one day, two affirmations that all is well, all is on track and I must use my energy and my creative powers. I will achieve a lot, I know, this book is very special and it’s ‘living’. There are so many things happening all the time, help from unexpected places, ideas that just flow out of nothing and the people who have actually read some of the chapters have all reacted in a very positive way. They have been drawn into the story, one of romantic fiction (something new for me) and they want to read on, to know more.

I hope that the Thought for Today inspires you and in the meantime, back to my book. Deep gratitude for the person who sent this to me today (you know who you are). Let Be and write my own life.
